There are over 700 miles of trails await you on the Ouachita National Forest.
The trails system includes trails and related facilities for hiking, all-terrain vehicles (ATV's),
mountain biking and much much more. Hiking trails range in lengths
of less than 1 mile up to the 192 mile Ouachita National Recreation Trail, which traverses the
entire forest from west to east. These trails vary in level of difficulty. Check with the
local Forest Service office for information before your trip.
Detailed maps of Lake Ouachita are
available for $10.00. Make check payable to the Mount Ida Area Chamber of Commerce and
send to P.O. Box 6 Mount Ida, AR 71957.

The Womble Trail
38 mile single track for hiking and/or mountain biking.
It is rated one of the best in the country. There are sanctioned
mountain bike races held on these trails. For race information contact Gary
